Reverb was an independent project and involved both an interactive website alongside a conversational sculptural piece. The concept behind Reverb is explained further in the aim below.
'The conversation about sex is beginning to become more liberated, less stigmatised and is absolutely an essential discussion to bring to the table in an evolving 21st century world. Sexual relationships have often been considered taboo to discuss openly and intertwined within this is negative energy centred around discrimination and disrespect. REVERB aims to become an online hub of information, creating a space for people from all walks of life to engage in a safe space looking at sex through a positive lens.
The format of REVERB is an online website that provides essential information about sex and everything that surrounds sexual relationships from reputable sources. Alongside this, the option for candid conversation, confession and questions is open to all people who might be enquiring about a certain topic they seek more information on. REVERB is open to all but will be carefully audited to ensure that people are using the online space in a respectful way. Additionally to the online site REVERB will have an in-person interactive activity that can be implemented in collaborate spaces such as university common areas, high schools, LGBTQIA+ centres and anywhere that would be interesting
To engage further with the conversation. The space will include floor pillows and a set of prompt cards to engage people further in conversation, then linking them to the website to seek out more information. The site seeks to be as inclusive as possible, the audience in that respect is broad. The imagery and use of language intends to be more attractive to the audience ranged between 18-30 years of age. The site is completely free to access, therefore socioeconomic status does not play a role in people accessing this necessary information. REVERB itself does not have a client but aims to work as an independent not for profit organisation that then collaborates further with universities, high schools, local government programs and anyone that might want to promote further liberation for people.'
The images below are part of the Reconvo space, which includes the pillows that will allow people to sit and have interesting discussions prompted by Reverb.
